Nana’s Calming Corner

Nana’s Calming Corner is a program that supports students’ emotional well-being by providing a welcoming, safe space focused on self-regulation, mindfulness, and resilience. Calming Corners are designed for elementary, middle, and high school students and educators. The Calming Corner features sensory tools, calming activities, and age-appropriate curriculum that promote emotional literacy, stress management, and a healthier school environment.

Named in honor of Board Member Jody Kreuser, Nana’s Calming Corner reflects our deep commitment to the emotional health of children and educators within the school community.

This program is currently paused for 2025. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Jody Kreuser has dedicated her life to caring for and supporting others, especially children. At 22, she founded TLC Childcare, reflecting her deep passion for early childhood development. She went on to serve over 20 years with ISD 728, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to education and her community.

Jody is a proud mother of three—Chad, Katie, and Laura—and today, her greatest joy comes from spending time with her beloved grandchildren.

Thank you, Jody, for ten incredible years of dedicated service to Thumbs Up.

With deep gratitude and pride, we dedicate Nana’s Calming Corner in your honor, celebrating your compassion, tireless work, and unwavering commitment to the well-being of children and families everywhere.

Your legacy of love and support continues to make a lasting impact. 💛
