Adulting

Adulting Hangout

The Thumbs Up Adulting program is designed to facilitate accessible, low- to no-cost, and non-intimidating environments for adults to gather. This program offers a space to meet and connect with others while fostering supportive relationships and positive interactions.

Adults ages 20+ are invited to join us and build appropriate life-stage friendships through conversations and activities that are relevant, relatable, and enjoyable for all attendees. We believe building community is one of the most essential steps toward mental well-being;

Our goal is to increase opportunities for adults in all walks of life to find their Third Space* where they belong.

Unfamiliar with the idea of a Third Space?

Third Spaces allow you to show up for others and build community. Mental Health isn’t only shaped by what we receive, it’s also shaped by what we contribute. Studies consistently show that prosocial behavior, showing up for others, volunteering, and being present in the community, has measurable positive effects on emotional well-being.

It reduces stress, increases sense of purpose, and strengthens social bonds. Third Spaces create the conditions for that kind of contribution. They give people a place to be useful, to be seen as a resource rather than just a recipient of care.

Community isn’t just where you go to receive support; it’s where you go to become someone who gives it.
